\"Ingreso<\/a>Alberto Antol\u00ed<\/strong><\/a>, doctor in Law and president of the European Council of Doctors<\/strong><\/a>, entered as corresponding academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED) during a ceremony held last Thursday, July 11, in the Assembly Hall of Catalan labor National Work Promotion<\/strong><\/a>, headquarters of the RAED. The recipient read the admission speech “Del milagro de Israel a la inversi\u00f3n inmobiliaria en Espa\u00f1a”<\/strong><\/a> (From the miracle of Israel to real estate investment in Spain). On behalf of the Royal Corporation answered the full academician and general director of ESERP Business & Law School<\/strong><\/a> Jos\u00e9 Daniel Barquero<\/strong><\/a>. The event was followed by more than 130 attendees and 22 academicians.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the new academician reviews the history of the current State of Israel since its creation seven decades ago, and the multiple vicissitudes that it has suffered since then, to stop later in the relations between Israel and Spain, the reconciliation and Spanish recognition to the Sephardic community and, finally, the Israeli leadership in different areas of the economy, culminating in its technological revolution.<\/p>\n

“The existence and development of the State of Israel may well be seen as a divine miracle, for it was a miracle to reunite millions of exiled Jews in multiple diasporas, to make the millennial Hebrew language revive, to make the desert flourish or make its economy prosper to place it among the most reliable and innovative in the world. And an even greater miracle was that more than 250,000 Jewish survivors of the Holocaust emigrated to the new State of Israel, not to mention the harmonious coexistence of various religions and ethnic groups within the borders of the country. In a few years, Israel managed to acquire institutions, a solid civil society with consolidated middle classes and a democratic framework that contrasted with the tyrannical and oligarchic regimes of its environment”, analyzes Antol\u00ed.<\/p>\n

The new academician points out how Israel has been recognized as one of the world’s technological leaders by the most prestigious indices in the sector: 10th country in innovation for Bloomberg<\/strong> or 2nd most competitive environment for innovation for the World Economic Forum<\/strong><\/a>. “It’s easy to predict that, in the medium to long term, there will be an Israeli technological landing in Spain”, he says.<\/p>\n

Antol\u00ed also points out that Israel is the country that invests most in R&D throughout the world, since it allocates no less than 4.25% of its GDP. “According to various studies, we would be talking about 140 dollars a year per inhabitant in technological start-ups, a figure that in Spain would range between 2-3 euros per inhabitant per year”, he adds. The new member of the RAED completes his speech with a detailed analysis of trade and knowledge exchanges between Israel and Spain and points out the future lines of productive business and investment between both countries. The academician stops in the important Israeli investments in the real estate sector of the big Spanish cities.<\/p>\n
