Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Calvo<\/strong><\/a>, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED) and president of its Institute of International Cooperation<\/strong>, participated on May 22 at the ceremony of delivery of the Lady with the Lamp Florence Nightingale<\/strong> awards, a recognition promoted by the Sandra Ibarra Foundation<\/strong><\/a> and the Nursing Department of the Autonomous University of Madrid<\/strong><\/a> (UAM) that aims to give visibility and highlight the good work of the nurses of oncology units of the hospitals of the Community of Madrid<\/strong><\/a>. These distinctions also try to vindicate the importance of listening to patients, since they have been the ones who, by voting in more than twenty hospitals in the Community, have decided which professionals to grant their recognition.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
