The academician intervened with the presentation <strong>&#8220;Visi\u00f3n global de la Declaraci\u00f3n de los Derechos Humanos&#8221;<\/strong> (Global vision of the Declaration of Human Rights), where he traced from the genesis of the document to the consequences that led its adoption by the member countries of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>United Nations<\/strong><\/a> and other international organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Promoter of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urv.cat\/es\/investigacion\/estructuras\/centros\/cecos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Centre for Social Conflict Studies<\/strong><\/a> at the Rovira i Virgili University, co-organizer of the event, Castell\u00e0 believes that the globalization of International Law and the work of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icc-cpi.int\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>International Criminal Court<\/strong><\/a> represent a new guarantee for the protection of this Universal Declaration so that its breach doesn&#8217;t go unpunished. For the academician, International Law, which was previously based on the territory and on the principle of sovereignty, has a new frontier: the dignity of people. States that don&#8217;t respect Human Rights must now answer before the International Criminal Court.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_62560\" style=\"width: 439px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-62560\" class=\"wp-image-62560\" src=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/aniversario-Declaracion-Universal-Derechos-Humanos-Eleanor-Roosevelt-dstNtc.jpg\" alt=\"aniversario Declaracion Universal Derechos Humanos - Eleanor Roosevelt\" width=\"429\" height=\"194\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-62560\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eleanor Roosevelt<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The session was also attended by <strong>Carme Colomina<\/strong>, from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cidob.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Centre for International Information and Documentation in Barcelona<\/strong><\/a> (CIDOB), with the conference <strong>&#8220;Derechos Humanos y Uni\u00f3n Europea&#8221;<\/strong> (Human Rights and the European Union); <strong>Bartosz Kaczorowski<\/strong>, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/iso.uni.lodz.pl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>University of Lodz<\/strong><\/a>, who via Skype intervened with the work <strong>&#8220;Pol\u00edtica exterior y la cuesti\u00f3n de los Derechos Humanos en Polonia&#8221;<\/strong> (Foreign policy and the question of Human Rights in Poland), and <strong>Fouad Nohra<\/strong>, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceds.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Centre for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies<\/strong><\/a> in Paris, who also via Skype delivered the talk <strong>&#8220;Les droits \u00e9conomiques et sociaux dans la D\u00e9claration Universelle des Droits de l&#8217;Homme&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0(Economic and social rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights).
