Nuria Vallcorba Plana<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-nuria-vallcorba-plana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>N\u00faria Vallcorba<\/strong><\/a>, full academician of the <strong>Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED) and former president of the <a href=\"https:\/\/fscoe.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Catalan Society of Dentistry<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sepa.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Spanish Society of Periodontics and Osseointegration<\/strong><\/a>, has been recognized with the <strong>Professional Excellence Award<\/strong> granted annually the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comb.cat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Association of Physicians of Barcelona<\/strong><\/a>. A distinction that the winner will receive during a ceremony to be held on December 3 at the AXA Auditorium in Barcelona (Diagonal, 547).<\/p>\n<p>These awards are granted by independent juries and are intended to distinguish those doctors of exemplary behaviour. &#8220;It&#8217;s a moral recognition that emphasizes the values \u200b\u200bof medical professionalism in various fields, in order to recognize the leadership and excellence that serve as a reference for the profession&#8221;, says the ideology of the Association of Physicians.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-61419\" src=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Colegio-de-M\u00e9dicos-de-Barcelona-dstNtc.jpg\" alt=\"Colegio de M\u00e9dicos de Barcelona\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" \/>The ceremony will be headed by <strong>Jaume Padr\u00f3s<\/strong>, president of the Association, \u200b\u200band will open with the conference <strong>&#8220;Lluitant contra les malalties tropicals desateses mitjan\u00e7ant la recerca: l&#8217;exemple del pian&#8221;<\/strong> (Fighting neglected tropical diseases through research: the example of yaws), by <strong>Oriol Mitj\u00e0<\/strong>, medical researcher specialized in infectious diseases. As a closing, the journalist and writer <strong>Quim Monz\u00f3<\/strong> will make a brief consideration about diseases in literature. The session will also be attended by <strong>Elvira Bisbe<\/strong>, vice-president of the Association, and <strong>Gustavo Tolchinsky<\/strong>, secretary of the Governing Board.
