The Consulate of Japan brings to Barcelona the show “Discrete figures”, which fuses performing arts and mathematics<\/h2>\n

\"DiscreteNaohito Watanabe<\/strong><\/a>, consul general of Japan in Barcelona and honorary academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED), invites academicians and friends of RAED to attend the show “Discrete figures”<\/strong>, organized by the own Consulate to close the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Spain, which is being commemorated in 2018. The show will be seen for the first time in Europe on Saturday, November 10, at 9:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of Cornell\u00e0<\/strong><\/a> (Albert Einstein, 51, Cornell\u00e0 de Llobregat).<\/p>\n

Naohito Watanabe<\/p><\/div>\n

“Discrete figures” is the most recent project of one of the world leaders in digital creation, Daito Manabe<\/strong>, and his studio Rhizomatiks<\/strong><\/a>. The show has the collaboration of the Elevenplay<\/strong> dance group and the programmer Kyle McDonald<\/strong>. This breakthrough multimedia show fuses performing arts and mathematics in an ingenious and elegant exploration of the relationship between the human body and computer-generated movements. It arrives in Spain after the success of critics and audiences in the United States and Canada and combines drones, artificial intelligence and machine learning with the choreography of five dancers.<\/p>\n

Daito Manabe is considered one of the most important multidisciplinary artists at present, invited to S\u00f3nar 2017<\/strong>, architect after the Japanese presentation at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games of Rio 2016 and designer of the shows of musicians such as Bj\u00f6rk<\/strong>, Perfume<\/strong> or Ryuichi Sakamoto<\/strong>. Likewise, the Elevenplay group regularly collaborates in the most outstanding concerts, television programs and video clips of Japan, and its leader, Mikiko<\/strong>, has carried out choreographies for artists such as Babymetal<\/strong>, Perfume<\/strong> itself or Ringo Shiina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
