{"id":60235,"date":"2018-10-24T07:26:37","date_gmt":"2018-10-24T07:26:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raed.academy\/?p=60235"},"modified":"2018-10-29T12:13:25","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T12:13:25","slug":"science-and-good-foods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/science-and-good-foods\/","title":{"rendered":"Science and good foods"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The RAED collaborates with the Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Food Sciences, promoted by the academicians Llu\u00eds Serra and Javier Aranceta<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-59985\" src=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/academia-espa\u00f1ola-de-nutricion-y-ciencias-de-la-alimentacion.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/>The <strong>Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.academianutricionydietetica.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Food Sciences<\/strong><\/a>, which is chaired by the\u00a0full academician of the RAED <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-lluis-serra-majem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Llu\u00eds Serra<\/strong><\/a> and whose vice-president is fellow academician <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-javier-aranceta-bartrina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Javier Aranceta<\/strong><\/a>, have reached an institutional collaboration agreement that will allow them to develop common projects and participate in a preferred way in the activities carried out by any of the two academic institutions. A collaboration that has already materialized in the <strong>Annual Scientific Session<\/strong> that the Academy held this Wednesday, October 24, within the framework of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nutrimad2018.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Nutrimad 2018<\/strong><\/a> International Congress. The Spanish\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ranm.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Royal Academy of Medicine<\/a><\/strong> has also participated in the events. Its president, <strong>Joaqu\u00edn Poch<\/strong>, co-chaired the session with Serra.<\/p>\n<p>During the acts, the Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Food Sciences welcomed as honorary member\u00a0<strong>Manuel Serrano<\/strong>, professor of Internal Medicine at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucm.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Complutense University of Madrid<\/strong><\/a> and\u00a0academician of the Royal\u00a0Academy of Medicine. Likewise, <strong>Immaculada Bautista<\/strong>, a doctor in Medicine at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ulpg.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria<\/strong><\/a> and a renowned gastroenterologist, and <strong>Ana Mar\u00eda L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, a doctor in Pharmacy and professor in the Nutrition and Bromatology Department of the Complutense University of Madrid, entered as full academicians.<\/p>\n<p>The Academy recognized <strong>Gregorio Varela<\/strong>, professor of Nutrition and Bromatology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uspceu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>San Pablo-CEU University<\/strong><\/a> with his annual award and presented his diplomas of honour to the <strong>Pasfec Program<\/strong> of the Spanish <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundaciondelcorazon.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Heart Foundation<\/strong><\/a>; to <strong>Mar Ruperto<\/strong>, of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madrid.org\/hospitalramonycajal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ram\u00f3n y Cajal Hospital<\/strong><\/a> and the San Pablo-CEU University, to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fesbal.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Food Bank of Spain<\/strong><\/a> and to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eroski.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Eroski Foundation<\/strong><\/a>. The Honour Plaque for the Professional Career in Paediatrics and Paediatric Nutrition corresponded to <strong>Alfonso Delgado<\/strong>, professor of Paediatrics at the San Pablo-CEU University.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Food Sciences was born in 2009 promoted by the two RAED academicians, among other experts, to respond to a social and academic need and become a reference in the food and nutrition field by promoting sustainable use of food resources as well as to guarantee truthful, accredited and independent information on issues related to food and nutrition.
