A delegation of the RAED participates in the Research Congress of the Community of Institutions of Higher Education of La Laguna<\/h2>\n

\"CieslagA delegation of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED) headed by its president, Alfredo Rocafort<\/strong><\/a>, is to participate in the Research Congress of the Community of Higher Education Institutions of La Laguna<\/strong><\/a> (Cieslag) which is held in various municipalities of the Mexican State of Durango between October 10 and 12. On behalf of the RAED, its vice-president Xabier A\u00f1overos<\/strong><\/a> and the full academician and member of the Governing Board Jordi Mart\u00ed<\/strong><\/a> is also participating in this event.<\/p>\n

Dr Rocafort will give the inaugural conference of the Congress, which is entitled “La transferencia de tecnolog\u00eda y conocimiento en la universidad”<\/strong> (The transfer of technology and knowledge in the university). Dr\u00a0 A\u00f1overos<\/strong><\/a>, on the other hand, will speak on “Valle Incl\u00e1n y M\u00e9xico”<\/strong> (Valle Incl\u00e1n and M\u00e9xico), while Dr Mart\u00ed<\/strong><\/a> will talk about “C\u00f3mo invertir en Europa”<\/strong> (How to invest in Europe). During the event, the Royal Academy will bestow its Centennial Medal on Salvador Hern\u00e1ndez V\u00e9lez<\/strong>, rector of the Autonomous University of Coahuila<\/strong><\/a>; Jos\u00e9 Rosas<\/strong>, constitutional governor of the State of Durango<\/strong><\/a>; Jorge Zerme\u00f1o<\/strong>, municipal president of Torre\u00f3n Coahuila; Alejandro Jaimes<\/strong>, general coordinator of the technological universities of Mexico, and Esteban Calder\u00f3n<\/strong>, president of the Judicial Power of the State of Durango.<\/p>\n

The Research Congress will be held under the title of “Investigaci\u00f3n multidisciplinaria para una futuro sustentable”<\/strong> (Multidisciplinary research for a sustainable future) and will be accompanied in this edition of the 9th Regional Research Meeting and the 8th Meeting of Young Researchers, in which the RAED will also actively participate. The purpose of the sessions will be to promote an academic space that allows for the dissemination of the results of the research carried out in the different areas of knowledge, to contact national and international researchers whose projects have been significant in the different areas of knowledge, to promote the new local research talents and build a source and database of research conducted.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the congress, the RAED will once again award its prize for the best thesis thanks to a collaboration program that has the support of the Department of Justice of the Catalan Government<\/strong> <\/a>and the La Caixa Banking Foundation<\/strong><\/a>. In the first edition it acknowledged the work “Degradaci\u00f3n ambiental del agua subterr\u00e1nea en el entorno de la gesti\u00f3n gubernamental de los recursos h\u00eddricos”<\/strong> (Environmental degradation of groundwater in the environment of government management of water resources), by Jos\u00e9 Soto Balderas<\/strong>, of the Autonomous University of Coahuila.<\/p>\n
