Oriol Amat<\/strong><\/a>, professor of Financial Economics at the Pompeu Fabra University<\/strong><\/a> and full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED), reflects in the article “Els Drets Humans s\u00f3n fonamentals per\u00f2 sense oblidar el di\u00e0leg i el bon govern”<\/strong> (Human Rights are fundamental, but without forgetting dialogue and good governance), forthcoming, on the importance of management as a pillar in the defence of the sovereignty postulates of the Catalan Government<\/strong><\/a>. Independent deputy of Junts Pel S\u00ed party, Amat believes that the defence of Human Rights that is carried out by various independence sectors is essential, although “without forgetting that opportunities for dialogue and good governance should be among the priorities”.<\/p>\n

“Catalonia has fundamental challenges in many areas and among the most complex problems are those of a political nature because of their relationship with Spain. This relationship is really very bad and of enormously complicated solution seen what we have seen in the last two years. Serious shortcomings related to democracy and Human Rights, solutions from Catalonia are not easy, but we will do better if there is a good level of coordination between the different visions and we broaden the base with deep work, tenacity, pacifism and dialogue”, considers Amat.<\/p>\n

For the academician, the magnitude that have reached the political problems that shake Catalonia should not prevent manage well available resources and current powers of the regional government, although they are limited. “And good governance -says Amat- means having a strategic plan with the different axes that should ensure that it contributes to improving the well-being of the people and the competitiveness of the country”.<\/p>\n

“In the coming weeks and months there will be calls to paralyze the economy, we must evaluate the consequences of the actions that are promoted, since some may have effects that are contrary to those that we want to achieve. As the Latin expression ‘cui prodest’ says, in whom it benefits, the answer is very simple: we just have to remember that who has promoted, spread and exaggerated all kinds of catastrophic\u00a0pronouncements about our economy in recent times”, the academician concludes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
