{"id":55790,"date":"2018-09-04T08:41:26","date_gmt":"2018-09-04T08:41:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raed.academy\/?p=55790"},"modified":"2018-09-12T08:35:17","modified_gmt":"2018-09-12T08:35:17","slug":"doctor-and-person-cum-laude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/doctor-and-person-cum-laude\/","title":{"rendered":"Doctor and person &#8216;cum laude&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-pedro-claros-blanch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pedro Clar\u00f3s<\/strong><\/a>, full academician and vice-president of the Governing Board of the <strong>Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED), read on July 27, in the Aula Magna of the <strong>Faculty of Pharmacy<\/strong> of the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ub.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> University of Barcelona<\/strong><\/a> his second doctoral thesis, entitled <strong>&#8220;Evoluci\u00f3n del tratamiento farmacol\u00f3gico y quir\u00fargico de la hipoacusia&#8221;<\/strong> (Evolution of pharmacological and surgical treatment of hearing loss). An investigation directed by the also academicians of the RAED <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dra-maria-dels-angels-calvo-torras\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Maria \u00c0ngels Calvo<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Ana Mar\u00eda Carmona<\/strong> that deserved the highest qualification of the court: an outstanding &#8220;cum laude&#8221;. <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-josep-maria-simon-tor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Josep Maria Sim\u00f3n<\/strong><\/a>, academician emeritus, was one of the members of the tribunal that evaluated the thesis. Its defence was attended by <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-alfredo-rocafort-nicolau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Alfredo Rocafort<\/strong><\/a>, president of RAED; <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-xabier-anoveros-trias-de-bes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Xabier A\u00f1overos<\/strong><\/a>, vice-president, and the academicians <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-albert-bosch-navarro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Albert Bosch<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-emili-gironella-masgrau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Emili Gironella<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-maria-asuncion-peire-garcia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mar\u00eda Asunci\u00f3n Peir\u00e9<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Joan Sabater<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this new doctoral thesis, Clar\u00f3s collects a good part of the 40 years of experience that have made him one of the internationally renowned otolaryngologists with more experience in the treatment of profound deafness through cochlear implants. The academician founded and manages the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clinicaclaros.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Clar\u00f3s Clinic<\/strong><\/a> in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bwhere he makes these implants since 1993.
