{"id":46100,"date":"2018-05-29T10:07:07","date_gmt":"2018-05-29T10:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raed.academy\/?p=46100"},"modified":"2018-05-31T09:59:04","modified_gmt":"2018-05-31T09:59:04","slug":"debate-refound-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/debate-refound-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Europe, from civil society"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The Spanish Chapter of the European Economy Senate will hold the debate &#8220;Refundar Europa?&#8221; (Refound Europe?) on June 20<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Spanish Chapter<\/strong> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.senate-europe.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>European Economy Senate<\/strong><\/a> will hold a debate on June 20 at the <a href=\"http:\/\/ambmadrid.esteri.it\/ambasciata_madrid\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Italian Embassy<\/strong><\/a> in Madrid under the title<strong> &#8220;\u00bfRefundar Europa?&#8221;<\/strong> (Refound Europe?), with the presence of <strong>Aldo Olcese<\/strong>, vice-president of the Chapter, president of the Spanish <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionindependiente.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Independent Foundation<\/strong><\/a> and full academician elect of the <strong>Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED). Olcese will be in the future the representative of the RAED in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>The event has been convened by <strong>Benita Ferrero-Waldner<\/strong>, president of the Spanish Chapter of the European Economy Senate, and <strong>Marcelino Oreja<\/strong>, president of the <strong>University Institute of European Studies<\/strong> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uspceu.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CEU San Pablo University<\/strong><\/a> and member of the European Economy Senate. It will open with a round table with the participation of <strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel Moratinos<\/strong>, Spanish minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation between 2004 and 2010;<strong> Stefano Sannino<\/strong>, ambassador of Italy in Spain; <strong>Yves Saint-Geours<\/strong>, ambassador of France in Spain; <strong>Peter Tempel<\/strong>, Ambassador of Germany in Spain, and <strong>Christian Ebner<\/strong>, Ambassador of Austria in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>All of them will analyse the crossroads of Spain in the European Union, the great challenges that are presented to the continent and the proposals for a common European project. The debate will be moderated by <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Beneyto<\/strong>, Professor of International Public Law and International Relations at the CEU San Pablo University and director of its University Institute of European Studies.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_45976\" style=\"width: 280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-45976\" class=\"wp-image-45976\" src=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Aldo-Olcese-santoja.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Aldo Olcese\" width=\"270\" height=\"289\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-45976\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr. Aldo Olcese<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The European Economy Senate is a centre of European thought of private initiative born in Germany, with vocation to advise, to cooperate and to influence in the government of the European Union, and for it to interact with the European authorities and institutions and the Governments of the member countries, contributing ideas, proposals and solutions on the great challenges of the Union. It is composed of distinguished representatives of European civil society who believe in a more humanistic economy, based on good corporate governance and committed and active social responsibility. With the defence of an environmental sensitivity that helps us to build a more sustainable and better habitable world.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish Chapter of the European Economy Senate was created with the aim of advising and cooperating with the European Commission and Parliament from civil society, contributing ideas, proposals and solutions on the great challenges of the Union. In this way, the Economy Senate revives the traditional idea of \u200b\u200bthe Senate in Antiquity.
