On 18th May, the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED) held a new recital in the series entitled “Conciertos con Alma”<\/strong> (“Concerts with Soul”), which has the dual purpose of bringing great performers to Barcelona and spreading the cause of solidarity of a guest organisation. On this occasion, the concert’s protagonist was the renowned flautist Linda Chatterton<\/strong>, who offered a broad specific repertoire adapted to her instrument. She was accompanied by the pianist Nauzet Mederos<\/strong>, and the Sof\u00eda Home Project. Institute for the Interdisciplinary Management of Minority Diseases.<\/strong> As on previous occasions, the recital was held at the Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona<\/strong><\/a> and had the support of the Palace Hotel of Barcelona<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\nBefore the concert, Jaume Bolt\u00e0<\/strong>, one of the promoters of Sof\u00eda Home, explained to the hundred attendees who attended the event what this initiative consisted of, among others, with the collaboration of the Autonomous University of Barcelona<\/strong><\/a>, \u200b\u200bthe Catalan Government<\/strong> <\/a>and the City Council of Cerdanyola del Vall\u00e8s<\/strong><\/a>. “Since the impeller and creator of this exciting project, Jordi Cruz<\/strong>, started up Sof\u00eda Home, the initiative has received the support of both the families of children with rare diseases throughout the country, as well as researchers, public administrations and entities such as then RAED, which have a significant role in the academic and scientific world”, he said.<\/p>\n The “Concierto con Alma” cycle was inaugurated last December at the Little Palace<\/strong> of the Catalan Music Palace<\/strong><\/a> and was dedicated to the Vozes<\/strong> project of the Association of Musicians for Peace and Integration<\/strong><\/a>. The second of these bodies recognised the initiative “Cops for brave people”,<\/strong> a campaign of Catalan local police to raise funds to create the Paediatric Hospital Cancer Centere<\/strong> in Barcelona, \u200b\u200band the third disseminated the work of the Clar\u00f3s Foundation<\/strong><\/a>, promoted by the academician of the RAED Pedro Clar\u00f3s<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
