The recipient will read his admission speech\u00a0&#8220;Lo disruptivo y el futuro: tecnolog\u00eda y sociedad en el siglo XXI&#8221; (The disruptive and the future: technology and society in the 21st century). Full academician <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/en\/academicians\/dr-jose-ramon-calvo-fernandez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Calvo<\/strong><\/a>, will respond on behalf of the RAED.<\/p>\n<p>Trained as a chemical engineer, a degree to which he later added one in industrial engineering, Pons Puiggr\u00f3s combined his technical specialty with studies in business management in a way that would lead to his doctorate in this specialty. In his professional career he has also worked in and combined both fields, serving as commercial director, financial services manager, manager, operational director and general manager of several important companies, both private and public, as well as working as an independent consultant. In the field of teaching, he is a professor of Project Management and graduate studies at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.upc.cat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Polytechnic University of Catalonia<\/strong><\/a>.
