Pilar Bayer<\/strong><\/a>, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED), gave the inaugural lesson of the new course of the Catalan School of Music<\/strong><\/a> in an event that took place on 20 September in the room Oriol Martorell of the Auditori of Barcelona<\/strong><\/a>. Under the title “Music and Mathematics: Elective Affinities”<\/strong>, the lesson focused on a presentation of the mathematical concepts inherent in new technologies that make possible the reproduction of music in digital format as well as its generation through artificial intelligence techniques.<\/p>\n

In an informative tone, directed especially to a public of musical formation, Bayer exposed the simultaneity in the use of the musical and mathematical languages. The session was presided over by Joan Mateo<\/strong>, secretary of Educational Policies of the Generalitat, and was attended by several musical formations of the school and the outstanding presence of the Gerhard Quartet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
