This first special issue featured contributions from leading experts in the speciality. Promoted at the initiative of the <strong>Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology<\/strong>, this special issue aims to raise public awareness of the importance of this speciality and has the support of leading companies in the sector such as <strong>Leo Pharma<\/strong>, <strong>Johnson &amp; Johnson<\/strong>, <strong>UCB<\/strong>, <strong>Danofi<\/strong> and <strong>Incyte<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation also announced that next September it will present to the Senate a comprehensive report on addictions in Spain in 2025, showing new trends such as the increase in polyconsumption, the spread of synthetic drugs and the growth of therapies based on technologies such as virtual reality and so-called \u201cneurofeedback\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-150850 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/shutt-dermatologia-piel-dst.webp\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/shutt-dermatologia-piel-dst.webp 600w, https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/shutt-dermatologia-piel-dst-440x264.webp 440w\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" \/>The data, the experts note, point to a clear change in risk behaviours: while the use of some traditional substances is declining, non-substance addictive behaviours are increasing, especially those linked to the digital environment. National and international experts will address these issues at a conference to be held in the Upper House, organised by Barcelona Health and coordinated by <strong>Diego Palao<\/strong>, a mental health expert and Director of that department at <strong>Parc Taul\u00ed University Hospital<\/strong> in Sabadell.<\/p>\n<p>The Barcelona Health Foundation is a private non-profit institution whose founding aim is to improve healthcare, education and prevention, as well as to promote healthy habits, knowledge of the Health Sciences and research. In this regard, it has set itself the challenge of contributing, through specific campaigns and actions, to reducing the incidence of the most common diseases in today\u2019s society, working with a group of internationally renowned medical professionals and researchers. Its members have recognised professional careers in the medical, healthcare, technological, research, and hospital management fields. This makes the members of Barcelona Health a multidisciplinary and specialised group capable of responding to the needs of different social groups.
