Dr. Jaume Llopis<\/p><\/div>\n

Jaume Llopis<\/u><\/strong><\/em><\/a>, Emeritus Professor at IESE Business School<\/strong> and Numerary Member and Vice-President of the Governing Board<\/strong> of the Royal European Academy of Doctors<\/strong> (READ), shares with the academic community the article \u201cAfrica, the continent of infinite opportunities\u201d<\/strong>, in which he urges entrepreneurs and investors to explore the business opportunities offered by the African continent from a perspective of cooperation and trust in local entrepreneurs, in order to create reliable alliances and successful models. The Vice-President of the READ will also present a new session of the Pe\u00f1a Catalu\u00f1a Debates<\/strong> on 30 June, to be held at the headquarters of the C\u00edrculo Ecuestre<\/strong> in Barcelona, under the title \u201cThe second digital revolution\u201d<\/strong>. The speaker will be the Honorary Member Antoni Garrell<\/u><\/strong><\/em><\/a>, President of HM Hospitales<\/strong> and author of the work \u201cThe second digital revolution: a new era for humanity\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Llopis has developed a long and successful career in business management at companies such as Moulinex<\/strong>, Nestl\u00e9<\/strong>, La Uni\u00f3n y el<\/strong> F\u00e9nix Espa\u00f1ol,<\/strong> and Borges International Group<\/strong>. In addition to his teaching at IESE<\/strong>, his extensive academic career includes courses as a visiting professor at the business schools IPADE<\/strong> (Mexico), AESE<\/strong> (Portugal), IDE<\/strong> (Ecuador), INCAE<\/strong> (Nicaragua), IEEM<\/strong> (Uruguay), MDE<\/strong> (Ivory Coast), the San Telmo Institute<\/strong> in Seville and EADA<\/strong> in Barcelona. He is the author of landmark books in the field of business management.<\/p>\n

Africa, the continent of infinite opportunities<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Africa is today one of the most dynamic and promising continents in the world. With a young population, rapid urbanisation and sustained economic growth in several regions, Africa offers considerable opportunities in sectors as varied as technology, agriculture, furniture, energy and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

However, these opportunities should not be approached through a logic of exploitation or short-term profit. History has shown that extractive models focused solely on resources generate lasting imbalances and harm both people and the stability of investments.<\/p>\n

Succeeding in Africa means, above all, understanding and respecting the local cultures, lifestyles and social dynamics of each country and region.<\/p>\n

Adapting to the local environment is not a limitation, but an essential condition for success. This means listening, building with local actors and integrating traditional knowledge into business models. Successful companies are those that create shared value, generating both a positive economic and social impact.<\/p>\n

From this perspective, the \u201cwin-win\u201d approach becomes central: it is not only about investing but also about contributing to sustainable development, creating local jobs, and empowering communities.<\/p>\n
