The Royal European Academy of Doctors<\/strong> (READ) organised, on 26 November, together with the Catalan Association of Accounting and Management<\/strong> (ACCID) and the business consultancy Wolters Kluwer<\/strong>, the session \u201cProfessional Firm Workshop 4.0: Adaptation and Transformation with Verifactu\u201d<\/strong>, a conference aimed at managers and administrative and executive staff in relation to the new invoice verification model promoted by the Spanish Tax Agency<\/strong>, whose complexity has forced the Government<\/strong> to postpone its implementation. The event was held at Foment del Treball<\/strong>, the Academy\u2019s headquarters, and featured presentations by experts Jordi Cot<\/strong>, Sales Representative Manager at Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Spain, and Irina Rib\u00f3<\/strong>, Sales Representative at Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Spain.<\/p>\n The session was chaired and introduced by Alfredo Rocafort<\/strong><\/a>, Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting at the University of Barcelona<\/strong> and President of the READ Governing Board, and Montserrat Casanovas<\/strong><\/a>, Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting at the University of Barcelona<\/strong>, Numerary Member of the READ and President of ACCID. The READ and ACCID renewed this year the collaboration agreement signed in 2016 and strengthened in 2022 to promote and develop joint activities and publications of common interest. The READ is also a protecting partner of ACCID.<\/p>\n The session was divided into two thematic blocks addressed throughout a full morning programme. In the first block, both experts introduced the new Verifactu verification system and its impact on the sector, outlining strategies to communicate the change to clients, offering tools and channels to facilitate the transition, and presenting practical success stories in adaptation. In the second block, they examined the automation of accounting processes with Verifactu and the integration of platforms and software, described new workflows transitioning from the current paper-based system to a digital one, and provided key insights to improve efficiency and reduce errors during a dynamic session of networking and learning.<\/p>\n Under the Law on the Prevention and Fight Against Tax Fraud, the Verifactu system requires that invoices from any company or self-employed professional be issued exclusively through certified software ensuring authenticity, integrity and traceability, obliging professionals to generate records with security measures such as digital signatures, QR codes and digital footprints. Although the Tax Agency has developed a free application to help taxpayers comply with the regulation, the system has been postponed following complaints from professional and business associations regarding its complexity and difficulty of implementation.<\/p>\n This session adds to the numerous joint initiatives carried out by the READ and ACCID within the framework of their close collaboration over recent years. Both institutions, together with the Barcelona School of Management<\/strong> of Pompeu Fabra University<\/strong>, published the book \u201cHow to Research?\u201d<\/strong> (Profit Editorial), a work featuring contributions from several READ Numerary Members who presented the main research techniques applied to different fields of knowledge, including the drafting and presentation of scientific work in its various academic formats: research project, undergraduate thesis, master\u2019s thesis and doctoral dissertation.<\/p>\n The Catalan Association of Accounting and Management was founded in 2002 with the aim of becoming a meeting point for professionals and academics working in Catalonia in the field of accounting. It emerged from an agreement between the College of Chartered Public Accountants of Catalonia<\/strong>, the College of Economists of Catalonia<\/strong>, and the College of Mercantile and Business Graduates of Barcelona<\/strong>. Later, the College of Secretaries, Auditors and Treasurers of Catalonia<\/strong> and the Official College of Administrative Managers of Catalonia<\/strong> also joined. La Real Academia y la Asociaci\u00f3n de Contabilidad y Direcci\u00f3n renovaron este a\u00f1o el acuerdo de colaboraci\u00f3n que suscribieron ambas entidades en el a\u00f1o 2016 y reforzaron en 2022 para el impulso y desarrollo de actividades conjuntas y la promoci\u00f3n de publicaciones de inter\u00e9s com\u00fan. La RAED es adem\u00e1s un socio protector de la ACCID.<\/p> La sesi\u00f3n se dividi\u00f3 en dos bloques tem\u00e1ticos a lo largo de una completa sesi\u00f3n que se extendi\u00f3 durante toda la ma\u00f1ana. En el primero, los dos expertos realizaron una introducci\u00f3n al nuevo sistema de verificaci\u00f3n Verifactu y su impacto en el sector, estableciendo las estrategias para comunicar el cambio a los clientes, ofreciendo las herramientas y canales para facilitar la transici\u00f3n y exponiendo casos pr\u00e1cticos de \u00e9xito en la adaptaci\u00f3n. En el segundo bloque, abordaron las tareas de automatizaci\u00f3n de procesos contables con Verifactu y la integraci\u00f3n de plataformas y software, expusieron los nuevos flujos de trabajo que van del actual sistema en papel al digital y ofrecieron algunas claves para mejorar la eficiencia y reducir errores en una sesi\u00f3n din\u00e1mica de networking y aprendizaje.<\/p> Amparado en la ley de Prevenci\u00f3n y Lucha contra el Fraude Fiscal, el sistema Verifactu obliga a que las facturas de cualquier empresa o aut\u00f3nomo se emitan de forma exclusiva mediante un software certificado que garantice la autenticidad, integridad y trazabilidad de los pagos, lo que obliga a los profesionales que deben facturar a generar registros con medidas de seguridad como la firma digital, un c\u00f3digo QR y una huella digital. Aunque la Agencia Tributaria ha desarrollado una aplicaci\u00f3n inform\u00e1tica gratuita para facilitar a los contribuyentes el cumplimiento de la normativa, el sistema ha tenido que ser aplazado ante las quejas de las asociaciones profesionales y empresariales por su complejidad y dificultad de implementaci\u00f3n.<\/p> Esta sesi\u00f3n se suma a las numerosas que han realizado de forma conjunta la RAED y la ACCID en el marco de su estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n a lo largo de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Las dos instituciones, a las que se sum\u00f3 la Barcelona School of Management<\/strong> de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra<\/strong>, publicaron el libro \"\u00bfC\u00f3mo investigar?\"<\/strong> (Profit Editorial). Una obra que cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de diversos acad\u00e9micos numerarios que presentaron\u00a0las principales t\u00e9cnicas de investigaci\u00f3n aplicadas a diferentes campos del saber, sin dejar de lado aspectos como la redacci\u00f3n y presentaci\u00f3n de los trabajos cient\u00edficos en sus distintos formatos did\u00e1cticos: trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n, trabajo final de grado, tesis de m\u00e1ster y tesis doctoral.<\/p> La Asociaci\u00f3n Catalana de Contabilidad y Direcci\u00f3n se constituy\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 2002 con el \u00e1nimo de convertirse en un nexo de uni\u00f3n por los profesionales y acad\u00e9micos que trabajan en Catalu\u00f1a en el \u00e1mbito de la contabilidad. Fue tras un acuerdo del Colegio de Censores Jurados de Cuentas de Catalu\u00f1a<\/strong>, el Colegio de Economistas de Catalu\u00f1a<\/strong> y el Colegio de Titulados Mercantiles y Empresariales de Barcelona<\/strong>. Posteriormente, se incorporaron el Colegio de Secretarios, Interventores y Tesoreros de Catalu\u00f1a<\/strong> y el Colegio Oficial de Gestores Administrativos de Catalu\u00f1a<\/strong>.
