Presentation of the books “Retrat Interior”<\/strong> and “Brushstrokes of Life”<\/strong>, by Mari\u00e0ngela Vilallonga Vives<\/a><\/strong>, Numerary Member of the RAED and Minister of Culture of the Government of Catalonia (2019\u20132020) <\/span><\/span>and Frederic Borr\u00e0s P\u00e0mies<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>, Numerary Member of the RAED and Honorary President of the Col\u00b7legi de Censors Jurats de Comptes de Catalunya<\/em>, who will present, respectively, each other’s book.<\/p>\n

The presentation will take place in the Golden Hall of the C\u00edrculo Ecuestre of Barcelona<\/strong>, one of the city’s most emblematic institutions, recognized for its cultural tradition and its commitment to intellectual and social excellence.<\/p>\n

The welcome will be given by<\/span><\/span> Ms. Anna Gener<\/span><\/strong>, member of the Board of Governors of the <\/span><\/span>C\u00edrculo Ecuestre, and the presentation will then be given by the President of the <\/span><\/span>Royal European Academy of Doctors Dr. Alfredo Rocafort Nicolau<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The books \u201cBrushstrokes of Life\u201d, by Frederic Borr\u00e0s P\u00e0mies, and \u201cRetrat Interior\u201d, by Mari\u00e0ngela Vilallonga, engage in a dialogue full of sensitivity, memory and thought. Two exceptional careers \u2014that of an auditor with a humanist soul and that of a philologist who has made words a space for reflection and beauty\u2014 converge in this joint presentation. Both authors offer in their works an invitation to pause, look within, and recognize in personal experience a form of wisdom.<\/p>\n

The poems by Mari\u00e0ngela Vilallonga were written between Girona and New York during the years 2003 and 2009 and were stored in a computer file. Today, as the author has left behind some professional responsibilities, she reveals the fruit of a stage of her life: the inner portrait of her fifties. Vilallonga\u2019s book will surprise readers with the elegance, strength, and sharp lightness of her verses.<\/p>\n

The new book by Frederic Borr\u00e0s narrates experiences, thoughts, and stories he has collected throughout his long professional career, but also from his personal life. Throughout the eleven chapters into which he has divided his book, we find friends, travels, gastronomy, reflections, sorrows, joys, changes, professional and private memories \u2014everything the author has sought in the depths of his mind and heart to pour onto the page.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
