_builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Dr. SHELDON GLASHOW<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>ACADEMIC ACTIVITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>In 1960, he formulated a theoretical model that unified Maxwell\u2019s electromagnetism with Fermi\u2019s weak force, giving rise to the so-called electroweak interaction.<\/li>\n<li>He predicted the existence of the weak neutral current, a key concept in both theoretical and experimental physics.<\/li>\n<li>One of the fundamental predictions of his model was the existence of the Z boson, experimentally observed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/home.cern\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CERN<\/strong><\/a> in 1973.<\/li>\n<li>The universe is governed by four fundamental forces: gravity, electromagnetism, the weak interaction, and the strong interaction.<\/li>\n<li>Following the path initiated by James Clerk Maxwell in the 19th century by unifying electricity and magnetism, Glashow extended the unification principle to the electroweak forces.<\/li>\n<li>His theory demonstrated that, despite their differences in strength and range, electromagnetism and the weak force could be understood within the same conceptual framework.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>AWARDS AND HONOURS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Nobel Prize in Physics for the development of the electroweak theory, shared with Steven Weinberg and Abdus Salam.<\/li>\n<li>Considered one of the founding fathers of the <em>Standard Model<\/em> of Particle Physics.<\/li>\n<li>His work paved the way for experimental discoveries that transformed modern understanding of the universe\u2019s fundamental structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;GALLERY&#8221;
