L&#8217;acte va tenir el format de sopar-col\u00b7loqui i va comptar tamb\u00e9 amb la participaci\u00f3 d&#8217;<a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/ca\/academics\/dr-alfredo-rocafort-nicolau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Alfredo Rocafort<\/strong><\/a>, acad\u00e8mic de n\u00famero i president de la Junta de Govern de la RAED; <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/ca\/academics\/dr-jose-luis-salido-banus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jos\u00e9 Luis Salido<\/strong><\/a>, acad\u00e8mic de n\u00famero i secretari general; <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/ca\/academics\/dr-jose-ramon-calvo-fernandez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Calvo<\/strong><\/a>, acad\u00e8mic de n\u00famero i president de l&#8217;<strong>Institut d&#8217;Investigacions Interdisciplin\u00e0ries<\/strong> de la RAED, i els tamb\u00e9 acad\u00e8mics numeraris <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/ca\/academics\/dr-francisco-lopez-munoz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Francisco L\u00f3pez Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong><\/a> i <a href=\"http:\/\/raed.academy\/ca\/academics\/dr-joan-francesc-corona-ramon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Joan Francesc Corona<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Molina va certificar que des de la posada en marxa de les mesures que recull el Protocol de Mont-real, les concentracions atmosf\u00e8riques dels clorofluorocarbonis (CFC) m\u00e9s importants i els hidrocarburs clorats s&#8217;han estabilitzat o s&#8217;han redu\u00eft. La concentraci\u00f3 de halons ha continuat en augment a causa dels gasos halons que es troben emmagatzemats en els extintors d&#8217;incendi i que encara continuen en \u00fas. No obstant aix\u00f2, la tend\u00e8ncia ha disminu\u00eft clarament i s&#8217;espera que comenci a declinar la seva pres\u00e8ncia cap al 2020. La concentraci\u00f3 dels hidroclorofluorocarbonis (HCFC) ha augmentat significativament, en gran part a causa dels m\u00faltiples usos en qu\u00e8 reemplacen als CFC, com solvents o refrigerants.<\/p>\n<p>El grau de compliment del Protocol ha estat enorme. D&#8217;aqu\u00ed que se&#8217;l consideri l&#8217;acord ambiental internacional m\u00e9s reeixit del m\u00f3n fins a la data i un exemple excepcional de cooperaci\u00f3 internacional, amb l&#8217;objectiu de la recuperaci\u00f3 de la capa d&#8217;oz\u00f3 i per tant de millorar una part substancial de l&#8217;acumulaci\u00f3 dels gasos d&#8217;efecte hivernacle, causa fonamental del canvi clim\u00e0tic per causa antropog\u00e8nica. Molina, precisament, va guanyar el Nobel per la constataci\u00f3 del paper que juguen els CFC en la destrucci\u00f3 de la capa d&#8217;oz\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;acad\u00e8mic ha investigat la qu\u00edmica de la contaminaci\u00f3 atmosf\u00e8rica a la baixa atmosfera i treballa amb equips multidisciplinaris internacionals per afrontar el problema de la degradaci\u00f3 de la qualitat de l&#8217;aire a les grans ciutats del planeta, especialment enfocats en els grups de contaminants de l&#8217;aire en zones urbanes . El seu inter\u00e8s pel clima i les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies que es deriven del factor antropog\u00e8nic neix el 1972, quan va comen\u00e7ar a treballar amb qui seria el seu mentor, <strong>Sherwood Rowland<\/strong>. Junts van abordar la investigaci\u00f3 sobre les propietats qu\u00edmiques de l&#8217;\u00e0tom en processos radioactius. Una de les l\u00ednies de recerca en les que van treballar va ser la d&#8217;esbrinar el dest\u00ed d&#8217;algunes part\u00edcules qu\u00edmiques inerts derivades de processos industrials acumulats en l&#8217;atmosfera i els efectes sobre el medi ambient no havien estat tinguts en compte fins a aquest moment.<\/p>\n<p>Despr\u00e9s de mesos d&#8217;investigacions van desenvolupar la teoria de la reducci\u00f3 de la capa d&#8217;oz\u00f3, que va revolucionar el que fins al moment se sabia sobre aquest tema al adonar-se que els \u00e0toms produ\u00efts per la descomposici\u00f3 dels CFC destru\u00efen la capa d&#8217;oz\u00f3 atmosf\u00e8rica i aix\u00f2 tenia unes conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies molt greus que anaven des d&#8217;alteracions en la salut, major pres\u00e8ncia de c\u00e0ncer de pell en les zones afectades, fins a canvis en el patr\u00f3 clim\u00e0tic de la terra.
