L&#8217;acad\u00e8mic ocupa el lloc 125 del m\u00f3n entre els investigadors de totes les \u00e0rees de la ci\u00e8ncia i el n\u00famero 1 entre els que treballen a Espanya a l&#8217;\u00e0rea del c\u00e0ncer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-137970\" src=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/epigenetica-y-cancer-manel-esteller-investigacion-ADN-medicina.webp\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/epigenetica-y-cancer-manel-esteller-investigacion-ADN-medicina.webp 600w, https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/epigenetica-y-cancer-manel-esteller-investigacion-ADN-medicina-440x264.webp 440w\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"359\" \/>L&#8217;estudi ha estat publicat pel <strong>Centre de Dades de Ci\u00e8ncies Biom\u00e8diques, Estad\u00edstica, Meta-An\u00e0lisi i Innovaci\u00f3<\/strong> de la Universitat Stanford tenint en compte les publicacions i la influ\u00e8ncia de m\u00e9s de 217.000 d&#8217;investigadors en tots els camps de la ci\u00e8ncia, les cites bibliogr\u00e0fiques dels seus treballs i la participaci\u00f3 en recerques de grups cient\u00edfics. Esteller publicat 349 articles com a primer autor o investigador principal al llarg de la seva carrera i els seus treballs han estat citats 87.876 vegades per altres investigadors, que han reconegut la seva aportaci\u00f3 i influ\u00e8ncia en altres estudis.<\/p>\n<p>Les investigacions d&#8217;Esteller se centren en els mecanismes implicats a controlar l&#8217;activitat gen\u00e8tica, l&#8217;epigen\u00e8tica, aplicada a l&#8217;estudi de les malalties humanes, principalment el c\u00e0ncer. Els resultats fruit de les investigacions han aconseguit, a m\u00e9s de desxifrar les bases moleculars de moltes patologies, el desenvolupament de nous biomarcadors diagn\u00f2stics i noves ter\u00e0pies. Per la seva banda, l&#8217;Institut Josep Carreras t\u00e9 com a objectiu promoure, desenvolupar, transferir, gestionar i difondre la recerca, el coneixement cient\u00edfic i tecnol\u00f2gic, la doc\u00e8ncia i la formaci\u00f3 al camp de la leuc\u00e8mia, altres hemopaties malignes i c\u00e0ncer en general. Actualment compta amb 40 grups de recerca que estudien els aspectes epidemiol\u00f2gics, preventius, cl\u00ednics, translacionals i b\u00e0sics del c\u00e0ncer.<\/p>\n<p>Esteller va engegar i va dirigir el <strong>Programa d&#8217;Epigen\u00e8tica i Biologia del C\u00e0ncer<\/strong> de l&#8217;<strong>Institut de Recerca Biom\u00e8dica de Bellvitge<\/strong>. Entre altres guardons, ha rebut el <strong>Premi Carmen i Severo Ochoa<\/strong> <strong>de Recerca en Biologia Molecular<\/strong>, el <strong>Premi Nacional de Gen\u00e8tica<\/strong>, el <strong>Premi Rei Jaume I<\/strong>, el <strong>Premi Nacional de Recerca<\/strong> de la <strong>Generalitat de Catalunya<\/strong> i el <strong>Premi Internacional
