Nuria Montserrat<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/ca\/academics\/dra-nuria-montserrat-pulido\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Nuria Montserrat<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, investigadora de la <strong>Instituci\u00f3 Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avan\u00e7ats<\/strong> (Icrea) i de l&#8217;<strong>Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya<\/strong> i acad\u00e8mica de n\u00famero de la<strong> Reial Acad\u00e8mia Europea de Doctors-Barcelona 1914<\/strong> (RAED), reconeguda internacionalment pels seus treballs sobre c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare pluripotents i creaci\u00f3 d&#8217;organoides a partir d&#8217;elles, considera que la creaci\u00f3 d&#8217;\u00f2rgans complexos encara \u00e9s un repte lluny\u00e0. Aix\u00ed ho afirma en una entrevista concedida al diari <strong>&#8220;Noticias de Gipuzkoa&#8221;<\/strong> publicat el 26 de mar\u00e7 passat.<\/p>\n<p>Per a l&#8217;experta, l&#8217;objectiu principal de la regeneraci\u00f3 d&#8217;\u00f2rgans en el futur \u00e9s curar malalties, recuperar funcions i alleujar el dolor, en lloc d&#8217;assolir la immortalitat o crear \u00e9ssers humans completament regenerats, com s&#8217;ha suggerit arran de l&#8217;\u00e8xit de les seves investigacions. &#8220;Parlem sempre d&#8217;intentar restaurar o reempla\u00e7ar teixits o parts de teixits que s&#8217;han vist compromesos en el transcurs d&#8217;una malaltia o tamb\u00e9 a causa d&#8217;un traumatisme; \u00e9s a dir, un \u00e0mbit que el que pret\u00e9n \u00e9s regenerar per curar. Per ara estem molt lluny de fer un autotrasplantament; el que ara estem intentant fer al camp dels organoides o dels micro\u00f2rgans \u00e9s primer comprovar que els procediments s\u00f3n reprodu\u00efbles, segurs, i ara com ara utilitzant c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que no s\u00f3n del mateix pacient&#8221;, explica Montserrat.<\/p>\n<p>La seva investigaci\u00f3 combina l&#8217;enginyeria de teixits, la bioimpressi\u00f3 en 3D i l&#8217;edici\u00f3 gen\u00e8tica i es va adaptar a l&#8217;estudi del SARS-CoV-2 i la seva incid\u00e8ncia als \u00f2rgans humans despr\u00e9s d&#8217;esclatar la pand\u00e8mia de la Covid-19. Els seus estudis permeten generar un coneixement fonamental sobre com es desenvolupen aquests \u00f2rgans i, alhora, facilita el disseny d&#8217;experiments focalitzats en el cribratge de compostos terap\u00e8utics destinats a la regeneraci\u00f3 i l&#8217;afectaci\u00f3 del coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 als \u00f2rgans replicats.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-146970\" src=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/shutt-celulas-madre-regeneracion-celular-y-de-organos-dst.webp\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/shutt-celulas-madre-regeneracion-celular-y-de-organos-dst.webp 600w, https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/shutt-celulas-madre-regeneracion-celular-y-de-organos-dst-440x264.webp 440w\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" \/>A l&#8217;entrevista, l&#8217;acad\u00e8mica destaca el progr\u00e9s que la biomedicina ha aconseguit els \u00faltims anys des de la investigaci\u00f3 pionera de <strong>Shinya Yamanaka<\/strong> el 2006, destacant el treball en la generaci\u00f3 de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules especialitzades i organoides al laboratori. I encara que s&#8217;han realitzat assajos cl\u00ednics amb c\u00e8l\u00b7lules reprogramades per a aplicacions espec\u00edfiques, com la regeneraci\u00f3 de la retina, encara veu molt lluny\u00e0 l&#8217;objectiu de fer trasplantaments aut\u00f2legs a la pr\u00e0ctica cl\u00ednica. &#8220;Als laboratoris de recerca s&#8217;est\u00e0 treballant en fetge, ja que \u00e9s un \u00f2rgan que, per defecte, de manera aut\u00f2noma t\u00e9 capacitat regenerativa; nosaltres treballem en rony\u00f3, que potser \u00e9s un dels pitjors exemples, ja que \u00e9s un \u00f2rgan molt complex amb molt\u00edssimes c\u00e8l\u00b7lules diferents, amb una morfologia i una anatomia molt complexa, per\u00f2 s\u00ed que en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de ci\u00e8ncia b\u00e0sica s&#8217;ha treballat i realitzat molta inversi\u00f3 en fetge i cor intentant regenerar parts d&#8217;aquests \u00f2rgans amb c\u00e8l\u00b7lules parenquimals. Ara, amb les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare pluripotencials s&#8217;obre una finestra diferent&#8221;, explica l&#8217;experta.<\/p>\n<p>Nuria Montserrrat forma part del <strong>Grup Horitz\u00f3<\/strong>, un nou \u00f2rgan consultiu de la<strong> Generalitat de Catalunya<\/strong> integrat per una vintena de personalitats de l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de la recerca, la innovaci\u00f3 i l&#8217;empresa per tal de debatre i fer propostes sobre el disseny de les pol\u00edtiques d&#8217;I+D+i.
