L&#8217;acte es va poder seguir en streaming a trav\u00e9s del canal de <strong>YouTube<\/strong> de la RAED, on pot visionar-se. La recipiend\u00e0ria va llegir el discurs d&#8217;ingr\u00e9s <a href=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/discurso-ingreso-RAED-Nuria-Montserrat-Pulido-cmpr-v3.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8220;Entendiendo la biolog\u00eda y funcionamiento de las c\u00e9lulas madre pluripotentes: un viaje en el tiempo para generar mini\u00f3rganos &#8216;\u00e0 la carte&#8217; en el laboratorio&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>. Li va respondre, en nom de la Reial Acad\u00e8mia, l&#8217;acad\u00e8mic de n\u00famero i president de l&#8217;<strong>Institut de Relacions Institucionals<\/strong> de la RAED <a href=\"https:\/\/raed.academy\/ca\/academics\/dr-jose-ramon-calvo-fernandez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Calvo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Doctora en Biologia, Montserrat va desenvolupar en la seva primera intervenci\u00f3 com a acad\u00e8mica des d&#8217;una \u00f2ptica divulgativa la regeneraci\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular i el projecte del grup de recerca que ella mateixa lidera per crear per primera vegada cultius tridimensionals, coneguts entre la comunitat cient\u00edfica com organoides, a partir de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare pluripotents. Aquestes estructures s&#8217;assemblen al teixit embrionari de rony\u00f3 hum\u00e0 durant el segon trimestre de gestaci\u00f3. Nuria Montserrat<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Aix\u00ed mateix, l&#8217;estudi permet generar un coneixement fonamental sobre com es desenvolupa aquest \u00f2rgan i, al seu torn, facilita el disseny d&#8217;experiments focalitzats en el cribratge de compostos terap\u00e8utics destinats a la regeneraci\u00f3 renal i, recentment, ha perm\u00e8s estudiar l&#8217;afectaci\u00f3 del coronavirus SARS -Cov-2, causant de la Covid-19, als \u00f2rgans. Per dur a terme aquest proc\u00e9s, els investigadors, majorit\u00e0riament dones, van fer servir c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare pluripotents amb les que han aconseguit recapitular el desenvolupament embrionari del rony\u00f3 i van generar els mini-ronyons, als que han seguit d&#8217;altres organoides, simulant la duresa del microambient embrionari mitjan\u00e7ant l&#8217;\u00fas de biomaterials.<\/p>\n<p>En aquest \u00faltim gir de la recerca dirigida a l&#8217;estudi de l&#8217;afectaci\u00f3 de la Covid, que incideix espec\u00edficament en el rony\u00f3 en un 40% dels casos, l&#8217;equip de Montserrat investiga tant la seva evoluci\u00f3 com l&#8217;experimentaci\u00f3 de f\u00e0rmacs per combatre-ho. &#8220;Per explorar m\u00e9s a fons la capacitat de la tecnologia d&#8217;organoides per identificar tractaments per a la Covid-19, el nostre estudi a m\u00e9s va explorar com el SARS-CoV-2 pot infectar directament els organoides. En conjunt, el nostre estudi al costat d&#8217;altres observacions, suggereixen que la infecci\u00f3 per SARS-CoV-2 indueix inflamaci\u00f3 en els vasos sanguinis en diversos \u00f2rgans com a conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia directa de la participaci\u00f3 de virus. Tot i aix\u00ed, si b\u00e9 \u00e9s cert que els organoides de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare pluripotents humanes poden reproduir la patologia en teixits espec\u00edfics sobre els que es modelen, encara falta demostrar que aquests puguin reproduir s\u00edmptomes sist\u00e8mics associats amb les respostes de tot el cos a la infecci\u00f3 viral&#8221;, conclou el seu discurs.<\/p>\n<p>A la seva tasca investigadora, Montserrat suma la seva tasca com a divulgadora cient\u00edfica i \u00e9s la comiss\u00e0ria de la <strong>Biennal Ciutat i Ci\u00e8ncia<\/strong> que se celebra a Barcelona centrada en les joves investigadores sota el t\u00edtol <strong>&#8220;100t\u00edfiques&#8221;<\/strong>. La iniciativa pret\u00e9n donar visibilitat a la rellev\u00e0ncia de les dones en la ci\u00e8ncia i la tecnologia, tant en la recerca p\u00fablica com privada, i motivar especialment a les nenes, tot i que tamb\u00e9 als nens, a l&#8217;estudi de la ci\u00e8ncia i la tecnologia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><a
