The University of Barcelona has published the work “Selecta Pilar Bayer”, two volumes that collect the best works of the professor of the Department of Algebra and Geometry of the Faculty of Mathematics and full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) Pilar Bayer, in occasion of her 70th anniversary. The work has been edited by the Number Theory Seminar that Bayer founded three decades ago.

The volumes, prefaced by the rector Dídac Ramirez, meet 36 investigations in which the professor has worked since 1976. Pilar Bayer has received numerous awards, such as the Narcís Monturiol Medal for scientific and technological merit of the Generalitat de Catalunya (1998) and Serra d’Or 2013. She is also academician of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences, the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona and the Institute of Catalan Studies.
