The Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) will dedicate an academic session to recall the figure of Miguel de Cervantes at the fourth centenary of his death. Within the cicle Debates in the RAED, the Academy will host the next December 19 the session “Cervantes, su obra vista con 400 años de perspectiva” (Cervantes, his work seen with 400 years of perspective).

The session will be led by the renowned Egyptian intellectual Ismail Seregeldin, director of the Library of Alexandria and expresident of the World Bank, who holds 21 honorary doctorates and a doctorate at Harvard University. He will be accompanied by academicians of the RAED Joan Francesc Pont and Xabier Añoveros, who are experts in the figure and the Cervantine work. Also will participate in the event the honorary academician Rosalía Arteaga, writer and former president of Ecuador.
