Pedro Aznar, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), analyzes in an article published in the economic newspaper “Cinco Días” on February 15 the new customs tariffs tax reform prepared by the Trump Administration in the United States.

According to Aznar, a professor at the ESADE business school and a specialist in global economic analysis, charging Chinese or Mexican imports with tariffs and lowering company tax by about 50% to leave it at a rate of 15% can have a counterproductive effect on the internal economy itself. “It seems unlikely that they will really be oriented to help those who have confided in their votes that, now, the ‘American great again’ would be beneficial to them,” he concludes.
