Santiago Castellà, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), participated last Friday, May 12, at the Forum Justice for Peace organized by the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid and the World Embassy of Activists for Peace along with prominent academic and judicial authorities.

In his speech, which opened the session, Castellà addressed the role of the UN Security Council and the right of veto of the great powers from a historical perspective and raising the need for a reform of institutions of global governance that can respond more effective to the new challenges of security, development and human progress that globalization poses.

Specialist in International Public Law, Castellà is currently director of the chair Tarragona Smart Mediterranean City of the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona.
