Full Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors (RAED) and member of its Senate.
Emeritus Professor at the University of Barcelona (Faculty of Biology).
PhD in Philosophy and Letters (University of Barcelona).
PhD in Biodiversity and Natural Environment Conservation (University of Santiago de Compostela).

TEACHING MERITS

Created and taught over 8 courses at the undergraduate, graduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. He taught the course on Human Evolution for 33 consecutive years (since 1983-84) at the University of Barcelona.
Author of the university textbook Human Evolution, published by Ariel (2006).
Visiting Professor at various universities and conferences, both national and international.

RESEARCH MERITS

Led research projects funded by the Ministry of Education, seven of which were in Molecular Biology (1989-2011).
Publications (since 1977): 257 scientific publications, including books, book chapters, and articles in both Spanish and international journals. Over 100 presentations and posters at national and international conferences.

MANAGEMENT MERITS

Coordinator of the aforementioned courses.
Secretary General of the Spanish Society of Physical Anthropology (SEAF) (1999-2003) and Editor of the Society’s Journal.
