From 1961 to 1974 he was Technical Director and General Director of the “Compañía General de Ferrocarriles Catalanes, S.A.”
Between 1974 and 1982 he worked as a Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. To his period as Professor, he was followed by the position of Director and Vice-President of IDIADA (Institute of Applied Automobile Research).
From 1992 to 2005 he actively served as Member of the Executive Committee of FISITA (International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies) based in London. As well as, President of the European Automobile Engineer’s Cooperation (the European section of FISITA). Honorary Professor of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and President of the “World Congress of the Automobile” held in Barcelona in 2004.
Academician of the Reial Acadèmia de Doctors and author of Projects of Fast Diesel Engines, besides having contributed in numerous publications of technical journals and international congresses.
