Dr. José María Merigó Lindahl

José M. Merigó is a professor in the Department of Management Control and Information Systems at the University of Chiles. He was previously a Senior Associate Researcher at the Manchester Business School of the University of Manchester (United Kingdom) and Reader Professor in Financial Economics and Accounting at the University of Barcelona (Spain).

He holds a degree and a Ph.D. (with an extraordinary award) in Business Studies from the UB, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and Mater in European Business Administration and Business Law from Lund University (Sweden).

His research activity highlights the publication of more than 300 research papers including more than 50 articles in journals indexed in the Web of Science – Journal Citation Reports (ISI) as Information Sciences, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Knowledge-Based Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, Group Decisions and Negotiation, Cybernetics & Systems and International Journal of Fuzzy Ssytems has published many books including 5 with Sringer and 2 with World Scientific. Pertence to the editorial board of many international journals including five indexed.

ISI: Journal of Business Research, Technological and Economic Cybernetics Studies and Resaech and Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems. He has participated in a variety of scientific committees and has served as a reviewer in a large number of journals. He is currently interested in aggregation, decision making, uncertainty, computational intelligence, bibliometrics and applications in economics and business.
